Deputy Minister for Macedonia and Thrace

The Deputy Minister for Macedonia and Thrace ((ギリシア語:Υφπουργός Μακεδονίας και Θράκης)) is the government minister in charge of Greece's Vice-Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace.
The department has its origins in the old Ministry for Northern Greece, which was renamed on 19 August 1988 as the Ministry for Macedonia and Thrace.〔(Ministerial Decision 704/19.8.1988 )〕
The ministry was abolished on 7 October 2009 and downgraded to a general Secretariat within the Ministry of the Interior,〔(Presidential Decree 185/2009 )〕 but was re-established on 21 June 2012.〔(Presidential Decree 85/2012 )〕 On 27 January 2015, the ministry was again demoted to an under-ministry within the Ministry of the Interior and Administrative Reconstruction.
